Playard With Storage
Okay, there are only so many cute little chest of drawers and chests you can put all that baby stuff in. Your closets are full and let’s just be realistic; you’re running out of space to keep stuff. If you aren’t already, trust me, you soon will be. A playard with storage can help out quite a bit though. We’re going to discuss the upside to having one of these little darlings in your living room or nursery. The main thing is to have a playard, period. The advantages are pretty clear in relation to the toddler, but not as well understood when it comes to the infant. People often take for granted that their little one will not run off because infants cannot even turn over most of the time. But a playard will keep baby safe from the other people in the house. So getting used to putting him or her into the playard is a good idea early on. Another advantage of a playard with storage over a standard playard is that your baby’s toys and accessories can be at hand more easily. When you think about it, this is better than digging through a toy chest or diaper bag to get what you need. Having everything in close proximity definitely is a convenience you will be glad to have. There are several different types of playards with storage. Each one of these has their pluses and minuses and really depends personal preference, cost and how you will be using your playard with storage. It just so happens I have a few minutes available to share some insight on this. A playard with storage that uses nice little sewn in packets isn’t really going to be that much of a use to someone looking to store a lot of toys and the like. But for a few diapers and diapering products as well as some clothes and the like, well they’re fine if a little boring. Some under the basket storage is great for toys and you gotta love having more of those around! Costs of playards with storage range from a couple of $20 bills to around two hundred dollars or so depending on what you are looking for in quality and functionality. Some of these higher priced models are nicer than the homes they will be occupying. Really, again, it depends on budgeting and preference. Use of your playard is the final thing you should be looking at. Is this going to be a playard you will be taking to the beach anytime soon or just the standard living room play prison model? A lightweight unit that folds easily is definitely needed for on the go parents and baby. If you go with one of these make sure you have some sort of folding awning/hood thingy to cover the baby and help protect from the sun as well as your SPF 10000 sun screen. A playard with storage built in is definitely a smart move for the space conscious individual. I’m not saying owning one will save the planet for future generations or else make you a happy and fulfilled person, but they will help you out on your quest for sanity. Until next time, happy babying! |
